The Mind of People Escape From The Boss

The great escape from the boss are thoughts which flood the minds of many people living in quiet desperation of yet another day with him or her.

we have all seen it at some time in our working lives. I know I have and in this case it was a woman boss. Fortunately for me, I did not have to have any contact with her but I saw the pain she dished out to others. She seemed to pick on just the women in the office but then she may have also being quietly disturbing the minds of some of the men as well. Women walk out of her office either in tears or very close to them.

She was a bully in my eyes because there is absolutely no excuse for giving people pain in their lives.

Could I have gone and told her what I thought? I thought about it but not only was she a bully, she was also devious. She wore the very short skirts with the very high heels that drew the attention of all the men in the office. And, she was having a relationship with the MD of the company, who also left a lot to be desired, as a married man. But she had staked her claim to do or say whatever she wanted.

That is just one incident but there are thousands of people going through pain daily and they too would love the opportunity of escaping from their boss.

That is just one form of bullying in the workplace. There are many others and these include working with people who take pleasure in criticising others behind their backs, yet smiling at their faces. These backstabbers generally have 'friends', people who are fearful of being a victim of the backstabber themselves.

Then there are those who will have an opinion and when voiced, if you do not agree with it, others will gang up against you, leaving you feeling isolated and alone at work.

Yet again, are the conversations you have to tolerate. These can be either racist, ageist, sexual or all three. But you have to tolerate them because, what is the alternative. You can voice your opinion but, do not forget these are people with some very strange set ideas and principles to your own and your opinion is not going to have any effect on theirs.

Yes, some of these conversations are against the 'laws' of the land but they go on nevertheless and if you complain, these sorts of people will only take satisfaction of tormenting you in any way that they can, even further.

You have a choice. You can keep a diary of all the intolerable situations you have to cope with and issue a formal complaint to the hierarchy of the company or you can take the great escape and live a happier life.
